New LCAP Committee Information

The Board of Trustees and Superintendent appreciate all of the participation in the District’s Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) meetings.  We have received valuable input that will help us to develop the District’s Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), which is the next step in the process.  2 members from each of the various sub-group meetings have been selected to participate on the LCAP Committee.  This Committee will work with District Administration to determine the best use of available District resources for the 2014/15 school year, as well as the next two school years, to close the student achievement gap and improve our student’s education.

Thank you in advance to your commitment to the students of the Adelanto Elementary School District.  We look forward to working with you.

Closed Campus Policy

Morgan Kincaid Parents, Students and Families,

Our children mean more to us than anything else in life.  Knowing this, we can all understand the need to make campus safety our highest priority.  The Adelanto School District provides campus safety guidelines for all schools to follow.  We ask for your support in following these guidelines.  If you have questions, concerns or suggestions regarding school safety, you may contact the school office at (760) 246-4118 or Donna Landry, Director of Risk Management at (760) 246-8691 ext. 10608.

Campus Safety Procedures:

  • Parents that aren’t cleared by the AESD School Board as volunteers may visit their child’s classroom for 30 minutes.  This will be for observation only and after making an appointment with the teacher.  Only volunteers may have interaction with students, but are prohibited from playground and cafeteria.

  • Parents wishing to enter campus must provide a current photo ID and sign in at the school office.  Please wear the visitor’s badge where it can be clearly seen at all times.  This helps our staff immediately identify adult visitors that are properly cleared to be on our campus.

  • Only students are allowed to enter campus at morning arrival and afternoon dismissal times.  This is when the greatest number of people enter/exit our campus.  These times require that the highest levels of safety measures are followed.

  • Please follow traffic patterns indicated by signs and arrows for the drop-off and pick-up zones.  Do not park in non-designated parking spaces.  Please pull-up all the way through the drop-off/pick-up zone to enable the maximum number of cars to unload and load.  Parents please remain in your cars.

  • Students are not allowed to cross through the parking lot to enter campus.  Please guide your child along the sidewalk to enter our campus through the front gate next to the Office or the Blue Entry gate on Mesa Linda Avenue. If you are in the parking lot please use the designated crosswalks.

  • Student supervision begins at 7:00 am.  Please remain with your student until 7:00 am.

  •  Students arriving late to school must be signed in by a parent.

  • Our crossing guards have been instructed to cross parents and students in large groups to keep the traffic flowing and provide another degree of safety.  Please be safe, respectful and responsible.

Through working together our commitment to ensure the safety of all of our children will be accomplished.  We appreciate your support.

Thank you,
